Firenze, Dis 27, 2012 - Muli pinatunayan ni Ms. Sentiche Remotin ang kanyang husay sa larangan ng pag awit upang tanghaling kampeon sa unang edition ng Videoke Challenge na handog ng FILCOM EMPOLI sa pangunguna ni Pres. Allan Macalindong.  Ginanap ito sa Pallazetto della Sposizione, Piazza Guido Guerra, Empoli noon Disyembre 09, 2012.  Kasama ang Umahon Production sa pangunguna ni Mr. Alvin Umahon na siya rin ang mahusay na host ng naturang programa.  Kampeon din si Ms. Remotin noon 2009 sa 5^th Filipino Song Festival sa Firenze at 2^nd placer sa Mommy/Daddy Showdown 2012.

Isang Pilipina ang Campionessa Nazionale della Confsport Italia. Siya si Vera An Garo, ipinanganak sa Roma Italya, 18 taong gulang at kasalukuyang nasa ika-apat na taon ng Liceo Classico sa Liceo Seneca sa Roma. Nag-iisang anak nina Yolanda Mariano at Severo Garo Jr., parehong tubong Ilocos.

Sa kagustuhan ng sariling ina, sa edad na 6 na taong gulang, si Vera ay nagsimulang mag-aral ng gymnastics o ginnastica ritmica. Sa paglipas ng panahon, dahil na rin sa angking talento, ay mabilis namang natutunan at nakahiligan ng tuluyan ng bata ang napiling sport ng ina.

Sa katunayan, matapos lamang ang isang taong pag-aaral at pagsasanay ay sumalang na si Vera sa mga kumpetisyon, individual at group competiton. Mabilis na natagpuan ng mga instructor ni Vera ang kanyang technical capacities bilang gymnast kung kaya’t mabilis namang hinakot ni Vera ang mga medalya taun-taon, simula sa Regional hanggang sa International competition.

Who would have thought that a simple realization from Fr. Morrel Querickiol will bring in so many Filipinos together through photography? He witnessed how Pinoys love to take pictures, and observed many owns a DSLR camera already. As a photo-enthusiast himself, he realized that it is a chance to start a group that will give Pinoy photographers a chance to learn more, together.

It was on October 22, 2010 that he created a group in Facebook called Pinoy Photographers Club in Rome. He added few friends and posted few of his photos. After two weeks, with 15 friends who joined already, he set a meet-up.  It was the start of what will become the biggest PPCR. There was the election of officers of whom Karen Joy Tañac was elected president then followed by the laying down of the foundation.

Its objectives are to help those who are starting to explore the exciting world of photography by organizing learning means like photography workshops, photo walks and photo shoots; so that members can learn the basics, as well as, the advance techniques of photography shared by fellow members or by invited professional photographers; to promote a friendly, non-competitive environment where amateurs can grow and humble professionals to learn more; to develop each members’ talent, encourage creativity and fuel their passion for photography; to provide a venue to 'breathe' and 'break free' from the usual routine schedules of work; to promote PPCR to other Filipinos and other nationalities; and to provide a venue where members can acquire equipment and information related to photography.

Rome, Nov 27, 2012 - The Philippine Embassy in Rome is participating in the 37^th Edition of Esposizione Internazionale “100 Presepi”(International Exhibition 100 Christmas Cribs) upon the invitation of its organizer, Rivista delle Nazioni. 

The organizer started the exhibition in 1976 which aimed to “reaffirm crèche, a typical Italian tradition threatened by the new trend of Christmas tree, a symbol that does not belong to Italian culture”.  The exhibition was launched with the goal of bringing back in popularity, especially among children and youth, crèches done with creativity and craftsmanship in order to “revive the tradition of making a family crib built on a personal project and to reaffirm the family model as the cornerstone of Italian society.”
